WE MADE IT! That was the cry this time as we pulled into Shakey’s to finish the aborted January run. No breakdowns this time as all ten LBCs hummed right along. Bill, in his Jag, led the way as I enjoyed the greatest view from the rear. Behind Pam for a while, then Russell & Cathy’s brand new MINI, and finished behind Bobby’s Healey, Steve’s GT6 and Jim’s XKE. There were awards and cheers aplenty – not for us – there were a couple of birthday parties and a youth sports team enjoying Shakey’s as well. We met Robert & Dina Black – new owners of a great TR-6. They showed us this near original car that has been garage kept since new. He heard of us through Phil & Kim who directed him to our website. Thanks Phil. We put our brand new members, Russell & Cathy, to work in their brand new MINI. They led us back after Bill abandoned us in Auburn. Could’ve been lost forever!
