Car Collections

Here you will find links to car Galleries of several collectors in the Montgomery area.  Just follow the link for pictures of the following collections.

We start with three special collections in Montgomery. When the stars align, the moon is full, and we cajole Hamer into twisting the arm (begging – maybe) of these collectors, we are awed by the quality, number, and finish of these cars as well as the historical significance of many. Enjoy!

Dr. Peden’s 1924 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost — It’s Alive!  Tom Miro couldn’t abide for this grand lady to languish in an extended slumber.  Following hours of burning up the WWW to learn how the heck an autovac and Rolls Royce’s experiment with carburetors should work, he dove under the bonnet of this Spirit of Ecstasy and made it purr.

Miller Restorations & Royce Kershaw Cars – Housed in the old Kershaw family business manufacturing building, there are many interesting and unusual cars as well as a great restoration shop. The stretch 59 Caddie in which Governor George Wallace rode, a Russian Embassy Lincoln rescued from some locals who used it as a hunting vehicle. Several antiques of the pre twenties era and two Executive Motorhomes designed by Mr Kershaw’s Father are here. Sharing the building are Miller Restorations – restoring fine motorcars with a history of turning out award winning concours cars, many finding their way to magazine covers. There is even a train and rail car restoration area.

Pat Ryan Collection    A lover of sports cars and rare automobiles, this collection features many one of a kind automobiles dating from the early years of motoring and into the 70s. The Hayes Coupe is known worldwide, a Rolls Royce manufactured in the US, many Indy 500 winning cars, as well as several Porsches and early Ferraris.

Bobby Gunter Collection  A great collection of British Sports cars. Bobby has owned the Austin Healey 100-4 since new in 1954. Zeroing in on ceratian cars he liked, this collection has been accumulated over the last 40 years or more. Many are pristine examples while others are being restored. The total collection contains 6 Austin Healeys, 6 MGs, 6 Jaguars, 2 Austins, and 2 Triumphs.
