2014 Tinker Day

Business was slow at the Tinker Day garage this year.  Clouds and sprinkles must have kept several of the sick and wounded British cars at home. This resulted in a good bit of “fat chewing” among the others who came to “help” for the first hour or so.  Finally, Rick Kean arrived with the top down on his pristine BRG Spitfire 1500 that was due for an oil change.  While that was going on, others began to trickle in one at a time until we had a pretty decent sized group in Hamer’s shop.  Once Rick had his Spitfire back on the ground and bonnet latched, we adjourned for lunch and more conversation at Chappy’s deli.  Good meals were had by all.   Special thanks to Hamer for sharing his shop and tools with us.
