Tired Butts 2013!

Welcome once again to our fall Tired Butts Tour. This year we plan to visit the other northern corner of our state. I have 20 rooms being held at the Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge. All rooms have two queen beds and face the water. All rooms are non-smoking.
This lodge handles the bookings differently. Each participant must call and book their room in advance with their credit card. One night will be charged at that time. You will be able to get a refund should you cancel the reservation 72 hours before the planned day of arrival. Make the call and also fill out the form at the bottom of this page for our records.  Lodge Reservations : 256-247-5461 or 1-800-544-5639  Mention “British Motoring Club of Montgomery” or “Group Code 1792”

As stated I have them holding 20 rooms. I must turn in any unbooked rooms 6 weeks in advance – or by the end of September. So start booking early – the rate is $64.00 per night plus tax. With our numbers it makes sense to stay where we can have breakfast and evening meals easily.

Tentative plans are to leave Friday November 8 and return Sunday November 10. We plan to travel a section of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Whether this will be just a few hours or all day is yet to be determined. Possible stops in the area are also the Coon Dog Cemetary and the Rattlesnake Saloon. An old favorite for many Northern Alabamians is the All Steak  in Cullman. This is being considered as a possible lunch stop either going up or coming back.

Our trip has filled fast the last 4 years with @ 40 people each year, so sign up early!  Fill out the simple form below so I may know of your entry. Do not forget to call the Lodge and reserve your room.
